Job location
Our Corporate Office is located at Thomas Embling Hospital just 15 minutes north of the city. Due to our announced expansion across all Directorates, we have a need for experienced like-minded professionals to join our team to support our growing services. Our Directorates includes Thomas Embling Hospital, Prison Operations and our Community Directorate with highly skilled disciplines including Nursing, Lived Experience, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatry, Psychologists and Social Work. We have an outstanding L&D and discipline Educator co-hort that continually upskill our already skilled and supportive team.
About the Role:
The Data Analyst is responsible for providing technical and analytical support capability to Forensicare through developing and delivering analytics products from multiple information and data sources. The role assists the Senior Insights Analyst to provide accurate and targeted reports on Forensicare’s performance.
Duties:
- Perform data extraction and analysis including data modelling and statistical analysis to assist with data-driven decision making for current and future projects.
- Assist in the development of written reports, infographics and presentations detailing the findings of analysis conducted for various projects.
- Contribute to the development of innovative ideas to tackle challenging problems using data analytics to help tell the story behind the data.
- Develop capability for advanced analytical techniques.
- Strong SQL programming skills with demonstrated experience in building complex queries.
- Evidence of intermediate to advanced skills in programming languages and analytics tools such as Python, R studio, DAX and Power BI.
- Demonstrated strategic and analytical skills including the ability to interpret and synthesise information from a range of sources.
- Ability to prepare and analyse data, using statistical methods, and interpret the outcome to form well-reasoned and defensible conclusions.
- A relevant tertiary degree in health science, health informatics, digital health, information technology, data science or equivalent.
