About the role
Becool Equipment Hire is seeking a Delivery Driver - Yard person to join our team in Gladstone, Queensland. This is a casual role that involves delivering and picking up equipment to and from customer sites, as well as maintaining and organising the equipment yard. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive a high level of service and that our equipment is well-maintained and ready for use.
What you'll be doing
- Safely delivering and picking up equipment to and from customer sites using a company vehicle
- Loading and unloading equipment, ensuring it is transported securely
- Maintaining the equipment yard, including cleaning, organising, and performing minor repairs
- Assisting customers with equipment selection and providing excellent customer service
- Completing relevant documentation and data entry as required
- Ensuring the workplace health and safety standards are upheld
What we're looking for
- A current driver's license and experience driving light commercial vehicles
- A current Forklift Ticket
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, helpful attitude
- Basic mechanical skills and the ability to perform minor equipment repairs
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently
- A commitment to workplace health and safety
- Relevant experience in a similar role or the trades and services industry
- Basic welding experience would be an advantage
