- Prepare examination and surgical rooms by sterilising instruments and moving equipment into place
- Assist in updating and maintaining client dental records
- Perform routine dental cleanings and assist in the performance of more complicated surgical procedures
- Provide support to dentists, surgeons and staff as needed
- Offer patients advice and materials necessary to maintain good dental health
- Prevent the spread of infection and disease by maintaining a surgically clean work environment
- Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice.
- Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed.
- Assisting patients to fill out information forms.
- Preparing patients’ charts and daily schedules for the dental staff.
- Updating patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures.
- Scheduling follow-up appointments and providing telephonic reminders.
- Communicating with medical insurance providers to determine if patients are required to make co-payments.
- Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed.
- Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing, and faxing.

Pay: $22.63 – $28.00 per hour
