About the Opportunity
As Griffith enters an exciting phase of transformation, we are seeking a proactive Development Engineer to play a key role in the analysis, development, and support of both existing and new integration solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Analyse, design, develop, and support both existing Oracle-based integration systems and new integration platforms, with a focus on Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, and Function Apps.
- Conduct testing and assist with deploying code to test and production environments.
- Document integration solution designs, architecture and components.
- Maintain metadata, data glossary and data catalog processes.
- Contribute to the development of data orchestration and integration standards to ensure reusability and long-term supportability.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, scalable, and reliable integration solutions.
- Contribute to agile practices for project delivery and solution development.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience with the Microsoft Azure Integration Platform, particularly Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, and Function Apps.
- Strong proficiency in relational query languages, such as SQL and GraphQL.
- Solid understanding of DevOps tools, practices, and principles.
Systems Integration and Build Responsibilities:
- Implement and support integrations with on-prem systems or third-party solutions.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop system integration solutions.
- Define and configure integration builds.
- Design and report integration build tests.
- Document system integration components.
- Recommend and implement process and tool improvements.
Data Modelling and Data Analysis Responsibilities:
- Document business data requirements, definitions, models, source systems, and data flows.
- Provide data identification, profiling, and analysis services.
- Maintain data management tasks to ensure integrity and semantic consistency of corporate reporting products.
About you
You are an independent thinker and a collaborative problem-solver, comfortable working across teams and engaging with stakeholders at all levels. You bring:
- A degree in a relevant field or equivalent proven industry experience in enterprise integration solutions, with strong technical knowledge of ETL tools and practices
- The initiative to work autonomously and within dynamic teams
Highly Valued Experience
- Experience with Oracle Data Integrator or similar ETL tools.
- Familiarity with Oracle GoldenGate or similar data replication technologies.
- Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microservices, and APIs
- Experience coding in languages such as Python or C#
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with sound business acumen.

What we can offer
This is a full time, continuing opportunity based at the Griffith University Nathan campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
HEW 7 Salary – Base range - $101,068.27 - $109,496.54 + 17% super. Full package range - $118,249.89 - $128,110.96.
