Caring Supports are seeking to expand our team of Support Workers!
We are looking for motivated and friendly individuals who are willing to bring their best selves to the workplace to support NDIS participants living in the community. We are looking for support staff who have experience working with behaviours of concern and non-verbal participants.
Requirements
- Certificate III in either Individual Support, Aged Care, Home and Community Care or Disability or similar
- First Aid certificate
- Appropriate vaccination
- Knowledge and experience with Manual handling and transferring clients.
- NDIS screening Check
- WWC Check
- Experience working with non-verbal participants and behaviours of concern.
- Must be fluent and clear in English Language (Be able to speak, read, and write well).
- Must have permanent work rights in Australia
- Valid drivers license and car (a must have in areas where there is no public transportation available)
- Phone able to support our shift work software
Your role will include
- Assistance with daily living activities
- Assistance with personal care
- Working with behaviours of concern
- Light household duties
- Transferring client with hoist or lifters
- Manual Handling
- Meal planning and preparation
- Experience in Peg Feeding.
- Mobility assistance
- Reporting changes in health or behaviour
- Driving to appointments
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $24.95 – $43.00 per hour
