As a Disability Support Worker with EmpoweringU Disability Support Services, your role will include:
- You MUST HAVE experience working with clients who have AOD (Alcohol & Other Drugs) issues in this role.
- Providing personal care (e.g. dressing, grooming)
- Assisting clients with daily living tasks at home
- Supporting clients to access the community such as: driving them to appointments or social outings and attending community programs or recreational activities.
- Assisting with mobility and transfers, including use of hoists or other equipment if needed
- Monitoring and reporting on clients’ wellbeing and progress
- Promoting independence and empowerment in all activities
- Following personalised care plans and instructions from health professionals
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting clients from diverse cultural backgrounds with respect and sensitivity
- Keeping accurate and timely documentation as required
6-hour shifts available, ranging between Monday to Sunday.
(A Female support worker is preferred due to client care needs)
Job Type: Casual
Pay: From $35.87 per hour
