Position Overview: We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Bendigo area. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with daily living tasks, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with dementia experience.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and household chores.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment that promotes independence and autonomy.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders.
- Implement individualized care plans and support strategies in accordance with Beyond Choice policies and procedures.
- Monitor and report any changes in client behaviour or health status to the appropriate team members.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, particularly working with individuals with dementia, is highly desirable.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings, based on client needs.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred).
- Working with children check or willingness to obtain one.
- NDIS Worker screening check or willingness to obtain one.
