About the role
As a Community Worker at Partnercare Australia, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in the aged and disability community . This casual position involves providing personalized care and assistance to help our clients maintain their independence and quality of life.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting clients with everyday tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and social engagement
- Advocating for clients' needs and working closely with their support networks to ensure comprehensive care
- Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records
- Participating in team meetings and collaborating with other care providers
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure the highest standards of safety and care
What we're looking for
- Minimum Certificate III/IV in Disability Services or equivalent experience in community services, disability support, or a related field
- Previous experience working with the aged or people with disabilities, preferably in a community-based setting
- Medication Competency
- First Aid Certificate/CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Valid Driver’s License/own reliable car
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Full working rights in Australia
- Manual Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- NDIS Worker Screening
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- The Basics of Infection Prevention and Control
- New Workers NDIS Induction Module
- CALD multilingual is a plus
- A minimum availability of 3 Weekdays.
