Adventure Team is seeking to hire experienced disability support workers to join our growing team in New Farm, Brisbane. We are advertising for a casual support role with availability to start immediately.

We are a disability support company, helping people living with disabilities through providing mentoring, group and respite services. About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking applications for an experienced mentor to support our client in New Farm, Brisbane. This role requires someone with proven experience working with individuals who have high support needs, along with the confidence and capability to support clients with complex behavioural needs. Positions are flexible casual roles offering a competitive weekday rate ranging from $35.96 (+ super), depending on previous experience and skillset.

As a mentor, you will be supporting our clients with daily living and community access. We provide support in a variety of settings covering a broad range of needs and we work to ensure we match you, your interests, availability and skillset to the right person.

Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain before commencing work
- Working with Children Card (Blue Card)
- Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate
- Current, non-restricted open drivers licence or non-restricted provisional licence
- Roadworthy, registered and fully comprehensive insured vehicle
- Strong verbal communication skills
Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs, including the ability to implement positive behaviour support strategies, respond calmly in challenging situations, and maintain client and team safety at all times
- Ability to multi-task and problem-solve effectively under pressure, especially in unpredictable or high-stress environments
- High level of interpersonal and de-escalation skills, with the capacity to build trusting relationships while maintaining firm, respectful boundaries
- Confident in working autonomously and using initiative, with a flexible and person-centred approach to meet individual client needs
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to liaise professionally and compassionately with clients, families, and allied health professionals
