About The Position
The Distribution Specialist plays a key support role within the WatchGuard sales team, focused on strengthening our distribution relationships and enabling our broader channel ecosystem. This individual will work closely with distributors to ensure smooth quoting, ordering, returns, and inventory processes, while also supporting channel initiatives and helping partners grow their business with WatchGuard.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who is eager to learn, has a strong attention to detail, and a positive, can-do attitude. This role will collaborate closely with our Channel Account Managers, Sales Engineers, Marketing team, and Business Development Representatives.
Success in this position will be measured by the level of engagement and operational success with our distributors, the quality of support provided to the channel team, and contribution to partner and renewal growth.
This is a contract based role: 6-8 months
Position Responsibilities
- Support daily operational needs with distribution (quoting, stock queries, returns, escalations)
- Assist with distributor training on WatchGuard solutions and tools
- Support marketing-led initiatives and campaigns through distribution
- Help track and follow up on renewals and subscription expirations
- Contribute to forecasting and quarterly business reviews with distribution partners
- Coordinate with Channel Account Managers and BDRs to identify sales and upsell opportunities
- Assist in onboarding new resellers in collaboration with the channel team
- Maintain accurate records and updates within CRM and reporting tools
- Participate in special projects and team initiatives
Skills And Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams
- Organised and reliable, able to take ownership of tasks and follow through
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic CRM systems
- Interest in cybersecurity and understanding of channel distribution models
- Ability to work in an open office environment full time
Experience
- 1–2 years in sales support, operations, or distribution within the IT industry preferred
- Experience in a partner-facing or distribution role desirable
- Tertiary qualification in business, IT, or a related field beneficial
