Currently, we are hiring for the role of:
Dog Daycare Attendant
Position Overview:
As a Dog Daycare Attendant, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety, well-being, and happiness of the dogs in our care. You will oversee play sessions, maintain cleanliness, and contribute to the smooth operation of our facility. On designated days, you will step into a Supervisor role, overseeing the team and ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires leadership skills, strong communication, and the ability to manage daily operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:1. Supervision & Safety:
- Monitor dog interactions to ensure a safe and positive environment.
- Identify and respond promptly to signs of distress, illness, or injury.
- Manage excessive barking to protect the hearing of both staff and dogs.
2. Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness by promptly cleaning up waste and sanitizing areas.
- Ensure dogs always have access to fresh water.
- Keep mop buckets clean and prepared for use as needed.
- Assist with scheduled weekly deep cleaning tasks.
3. Customer Service:
- Greet and assist customers during drop-off and pick-up.
- Provide updates to pet owners about their dog’s activities and well-being.
- Maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
4. Teamwork & Communication:
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Accept feedback and strive for continuous improvement.
- Communicate openly and effectively with team members.
5. Active Engagement:
- Stay actively involved in dog play areas, engaging with the dogs throughout the shift.
- Encourage appropriate play with toys and structured activities.
- Strive to achieve at least 10,000 steps per shift by staying active with the dogs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior professional experience working with dogs.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Keen observational skills to identify signs of stress, illness, or aggression.
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
- Physical stamina to meet job demands, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Team-oriented mindset and a proactive attitude.
- Basic understanding of dog behavior and body language.
- Passion for creating a safe and enjoyable environment for dogs.
