The Opportunity
The Driver Airport & Freight Operations will work within the Operations Team and play a key role in ensuring the timely and secure collection, delivery, and processing of freight across the Sydney Airport area. This role is crucial to maintaining the smooth and efficient movement of shipments, ensuring compliance with safety and security standards, and upholding B&H Worldwides high service standards.
Line Manager: Station Manager
Location: Sydney Airport Area
Conditions: Full-Time, 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends based on operational needs)
Key Role Accountabilities
- Freight Collection & Delivery
- Collect imported freight from airline terminals and deliver it securely to customers.
- Pick up shipments from customers and return them to the office for processing.

Lodge domestic and international shipments at airline terminals, ensuring full compliance with aviation security and freight handling requirements.
- Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain the company vehicle to a high standard, ensuring it is clean, roadworthy, and safety compliant.

Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any issues requiring maintenance or repair.

Operational Support & Compliance
- Assist the operations team with general freight handling and processing when required.
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time and in accordance with company policies and customer service expectations.
- Maintain accurate delivery and collection records, vehicle logs, and other documentation as required.
- Adhere to all aviation and freight security protocols, reporting any non-conformances promptly.

Follow workplace health and safety guidelines, including proper manual handling techniques.
- Customer Service & Communication
- Represent B&H Worldwide professionally when dealing with customers, clients, and industry partners.
- Communicate any delays, changes, or issues promptly with the operations team and customers as required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Your Experience
- Previous experience in freight, logistics, or courier services is preferred.
- Familiarity with the Sydney Airport area and logistics routes is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes accurately.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- A good understanding of transport and logistics regulations, including aviation security requirements.
Mandatory:
- Valid drivers license (appropriate for the vehicle type).
- Ability to lift and handle freight in accordance with workplace safety guidelines.
- Ability to pass security background checks (e.g., Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), if required).
