- This is a rotating roster over 7 days; the cycle is two days at WHA4 (13:15-19:45), then two days at WHA2(15:45 to 19:45) then two days off. Rostered days off change weekly following a set pattern across a six-week period.
About the Role
WHA-2 We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant (Level 2) to join our dedicated team in delivering high-quality food and beverage services. In this role, you’ll take on responsibilities beyond the basic catering tasks, playing a key part in areas such as salad and sandwich preparation, hot breakfast service, and meal reheating. Your work will directly contribute to the comfort and care of patients, staff, and visitors.
As a Level 2 Catering Assistant, you will also assist with stock control, cashiering, updating meal lists, and the opening and securing of catering areas. Your attention to detail, time management, and commitment to food safety and hygiene will ensure meals are prepared and served efficiently and to a high standard. WHA-4 We are looking for a motivated and experienced Catering Assistant Level 4 (WHA3 plus Team Leader) to join our dynamic team in delivering high-quality food and beverage services. In this key role, you’ll take on responsibilities beyond those of Level 2, including supporting patient meal ordering, overseeing the distribution of meals, reheating bulk food items, some fresh cooking and preparing specialised food items such as fluids and tube feeds.
As a Team Leader, you will also provide guidance and leadership to catering staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining high standards in food safety and service. Your hands-on involvement in food preparation and cooking, combined with strong organisational skills and a commitment to patient care, will make a real impact.
