About the role:
Our bustling bakery warehouse is looking for a Duty Manager/ Supervisor to oversee daily packing activities, maintain quality standards and support our growing business.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee, manage and support daily operations in our warehouse
- Maintain high product quality and presentation standards
- Lead and supervise the team during shifts, working alongside staff to complete tasks efficiently
- Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, and support to a young and diverse team, many in their first job
- Influence and inspire positive work habits, teamwork, and accountability
- Manage workflow, meet production timelines, and ensure smooth shift handovers
- Communicate with management on workflows and process improvements
- Uphold workplace health & safety and food safety standards
- Support and serve customers directly, setting the standard for service excellence.
- Make sound business decisions and adapt to the needs of a growing operation
- This is a Monday to Friday role, 8 am to 3 pm
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven leadership, manager or supervisory experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment is a must
- A positive, calm, and solution-focused attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A track record of working to tight timelines while maintaining quality and composure
- Excellent organisation, time management, and delegation skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse workforce
- A mindset open to change and continuous improvement
- Physically fit and able to meet manual handling requirements in line with WHS
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Full commitment to food safety and hygiene practices
