About Us
Since 1986, Brockman Community House has proudly operated as a not-for-profit, community-based Neighbourhood Centre. We provide high-quality Childcare and Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) for up to 92 children. Our service is led by a passionate Management Committee and a dedicated team of professionals committed to inclusive, child-centred education and care.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Educators to join our vibrant team on a casual relief basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.
This position involves split shifts and relief cover, providing support where needed across our dynamic learning environment. It's an excellent opportunity to gain experience, build strong relationships within the team, and grow your career in early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities
- Support curriculum delivery in line with our service philosophy and the National Quality Framework
- Create safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environments
- Use supportive, respectful strategies to guide children’s behaviour
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Communicate effectively with staff, families, and the wider community
- Observe, document, and reflect on children’s development and learning
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe environment
- Embrace innovation and reflective practice in early childhood education
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or currently studying)
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Clearance
- Experience in Early Childhood Education or OSHC
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Eligibility to work in Australia
