Elanora Heights Community Preschool is a not-for-profit, community-based service with 60 years of experience supporting local children and families. We are rated Exceeding in all seven quality areas of the National Quality Standard and are committed to providing high-quality early childhood education in a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment.
We are seeking a mature, confident, and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team in a part-time support role for a 12-month maternity leave cover. This position is best suited to someone with strong initiative, the ability to work within a professional team, and demonstrated experience working with children who have diverse learning and inclusion needs.
While programming and planning are not part of this role, you will contribute to learning documentation and play an active role in daily routines and interactions.
What You’ll Do
- Support children aged 3–5 through meaningful interactions and daily routines
- Build respectful, collaborative relationships with children, families, and team members
- Contribute to documentation of children’s learning and development
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Work effectively as part of a team and use initiative in a busy setting
What We’re Looking For
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Demonstrated experience working with children who have diverse learning and inclusion needs
- A mature, reliable, and confident approach to your work
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and follow established routines
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Current Child Protection Training
- Contact details for two recent professional referees (essential)
