About the Role
Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking dynamic Education Access Workers to support the effective delivery of student equity and access services. This is a great opportunity to contribute to inclusive education, support students with diverse needs, and work collaboratively in a purpose-drivenenvironment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support tailored to students with disabilities, mental health conditions, medical needs, or carer responsibilities
- Assist students with language barriers and use of assistive technologies
- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement classroom accommodations
- Promote inclusive learning environments
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Liaise with Student Equity and Access Advisors (SEAAs) regarding student needs
Skills and Experience Required
- Understanding of the needs of students with disabilities and diverse backgrounds
- Ability to recognise personal limitations and refer appropriately
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and inclusive practices
Additional Requirements
Successful candidate will be required to provide:
A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
A National Police Check
