The Opportunity:
As we continue to expand our business, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Educational Leader / Room Leader to drive the development of quality educational programs, aligned with the Early Years Framework and inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach.
What you will be doing:
- Leading the development, planning, implementation, and delivery of educational programs for children aged 6 weeks - 6 years old, ensuring alignment with the NQF, EYLF, and Reggio Emilia approach.
- Coaching, mentoring and supporting educators through ongoing professional development, reflective practice, and individualised mentoring to strengthen teaching methodologies.
- Building respectful partnerships with families and communities, fostering collaboration and inclusivity in all aspects of learning and care.
- Guiding educators in supporting children’s development of identity, well-being, confidence, and communication skills.
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and contributing to the service's Quality Improvement Plan, striving to meet and exceed service expectations.
- Overseeing the documentation of each child's learning journey, including Wellbeing Plans, Curriculum Intentions Plans, and Room Routines.
- Ensuring the physical environment is safe, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed to support children's learning and development, fostering active participation and respect for the environment.
What we are looking for?:
Skills:
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in the same or a similar role.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive and optimistic outlook and a great team player.
- Extensive knowledge of the EYLF and NQS.
- Aligned to Educational Philosophy of the Reggio Emilia Philosophy
- Ability to build strong relationships with Directors, Educators at the Centre, the children and the families.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education is a must
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education OR equivalent
- Current First Aid Certificate including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- Current Paid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current Child protection, Safe Sleep and Food Safety Training desirable
