Job Overview
The EHS Coordinator supports the Regional EHS Manager in daily operations, providing EHSexpertise to local teams. Responsibilities include managing risk assessments, maintaining documentation, assisting with audits and training, supporting the Global Ergonomics program, and monitoring EHS performance. The role also involves liaising with local authorities and supporting regional EHS initiatives as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the Regional EHS Manager with day-to-day EHS operations as required.
- Act as the EHS subject matter expert and provide support to local business partners.
- Complete and maintain company risk assessments in compliance with local regulations.
- Maintain routine up-to-date documentation, recordkeeping, hazard assessments, and health safety audits.
- Support day-to-day operational needs during facility or workplace-related incidents or emergencies. Serve as the first point of contact for incident reporting; ensure incidents are documented, investigated, and closed out.
- Support onsite health/wellbeing programs (e.g., vaccinations, ergonomic assessments, wellness events).
- Liaise and report to the local authorities as necessary.
- Assist with the production and delivery of EHS training programs.
- Support the Global Ergonomics program as required.
- Support the EHS regional audit and inspection program.
- Monitor EHS performance and provide analytical updates as required.
- Conduct local EHS inspections of the office premises, including but not limited to workstations, meeting rooms, and shared spaces.
- Liaise with internal teams (Corporate Services, etc.) to ensure alignment with EHSpractices.
- Support the local EHS committee and prepare materials for monthly EHS updates (as applicable).
- Other duties as assigned by EHS Leadership.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environment, health and safety, engineering, or related field. Note: Applicants with the relevant experience and professional certificates, such as NEBOSH, will be considered.
- Registration with any locally required bodies or government agencies. ASP or CSP preferred.
- Good working knowledge of local regulatory requirements; general and construction standards.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a similar regulatory role.
- Able to work independently and drive results.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to influence key stakeholders and build relationships.
- Strong computer-based skills, able to produce reports and working documents to an exceptional standard.
- Strives for continuous improvement.
- Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
- English working language. Proficiency in mandarin a bonus.
Key Performance Indicators
- 100% compliance with applicable local and corporate EHS regulations.
- 100% of contractors undergo EHS induction and adhere to site safety requirements.
- Submission of EHS reports within agreed SLA.
- Close all non-conformities identified in audits within SLA.
- 100% completion of scheduled workplace safety inspections, with corrective actions closed within SLA
- 100% of reported incidents investigated within 48 hours.
- Indoor air quality parameters are maintained within regulatory limits. In case of deviation, action plans to be resolved within 24-48 hours.
- 100% maintenance and functionality of emergency response equipment.
- Zero major incidents involving contractors due to non-compliance.
- 100% of chemicals have up-to-date Safety Data Sheets (SDS) readily available.
- 100% of high-risk activities are managed under a permit-to-work system.
- High risk activities include:
- Work at heights of more than 2 meters.
- Electrical works (maintenance, installation, troubleshooting of high voltage systems, etc.).
- Lifting operations (manlifts, manual handling of heavy loads, etc.).
- Handling and storage of hazardous chemicals.
- Fit-out and renovation works (painting, drilling, etc.)
- Confined space (HVAC maintenance, etc.)
Compensation
Estimated Pay Range:
Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on circumstances of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
