Scope of Work:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to take a leading role in the delivery of NRW’s upcoming Jimblebar Project.
The project includes bulk earthworks, road construction and drainage services, along with the development of non-process infrastructure (NPI) such as buildings and fuel tanks. Structural mechanical and piping (SMP) works will cover the installation of pumps, tanks and both in-ground and above-ground pipework. Additionally, the project encompasses high-voltage transmission power. You will lead electrical crews and subcontractors, drive safety and quality outcomes, and ensure all work is completed in accordance with project schedules, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
To be considered for this position as an Electrical Supervisor, you must possess the following as a minimum:
- Proven supervisory experience in electrical installations within large-scale civil or mining projects
- Experience with HV/LV electrical systems, switchgear, cable installation, and testing
- A strong safety-focused approach to delivering your work
- Ability to lead, develop, and mentor your own crews
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to drive outcomes in a dynamic site environment
- Sound understanding of working within mining environments, with previous BHP site experience advantageous
- Familiarity with electrical standards, codes of practice, and relevant statutory requirements
As an Electrical Supervisor reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Manage and supervise electrical personnel and subcontractors across site
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in accordance with project plans and safety standards
- Plan and coordinate daily work activities to meet project deadlines and productivity targets
- Lead daily pre-start and toolbox meetings, ensuring clear communication of safety and operational requirements
- Ensure electrical work meets quality standards and that all documentation and inspections are up to date
- Identify and resolve site-based electrical and coordination issues, working closely with engineers and support staff
- Provide ongoing coaching and development to crew members
- Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, specifications, and client requirements
