Wood is recruiting for skilled and motivated Electricals Trades.
The Role
Location: Portland, Victoria - site based
The roles will be working across multiple project scopes including electrical upgrades, instrumentation installation, controls system support, and hazardous area compliance in a live plant environment.
Successful candidates will have strong industrial experience and the ability to work safety and efficiently within an operational smelter environment alongside other trades.

Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in heavy industrial environments (smelting, mining, oil & gas or similar)
- Brownfield construction or modification project experience is essential.
- Familiarity with industrial instrumentation
- Ability to work safely in live operational areas
- Victorian Electrical licence
- Instrumentation certification (for Technicians)
- Hazardous Areas ticket (within 3 years)
- Current First Aid
- Current Working at Heights and Confined spaced tickets are preferred but not essential
- Previous experience in heavy manufacturing / industrial or continuous production environment is preferred
- Proven teamwork, communication, and safety focus
- High attention to safety, quality and team collaboration
- Previous experience with permit to work processes within hazardous areas
- Proven ability to follow and imbue good HSE principles and behaviours
- Proven ability to work within a team
- Personnel located within the Portland Region, or greater western Victoria is considered advantageous
