Assistant Manager - Fitness Studio (Permanent Part-Time)

The Role
You will support the Studio Manager in driving the growth and success of our studio. This is a hands-on leadership role with opportunities to contribute to marketing, member engagement, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support fitness instructors and staff. Assist with onboarding and training. Foster a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Group Exercise Instruction (Occasional): Deliver safe, effective, and motivating group exercise classes.
- Member Experience & Engagement: Welcome and engage with members, addressing inquiries and feedback. Foster strong relationships to support member retention and experience.
- Marketing & Growth Strategy: Help implement referral programs, special offers, and guest passes. Contribute to social media content creation and engagement.
- Operational & Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of class attendance, client progress, and staff hours.
Reporting Lines & Stakeholders
You will report directly to the Studio Manager. Your direct reports include Fitness Instructors and Studio Team Members. Key stakeholders are the Studio Manager, Fitness Instructors, Studio Members, and Marketing & Operations Teams.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Certification: Certificate III or IV in Fitness (essential)
- First Aid & CPR: Current certification (essential)
- Experience: Demonstrated team leadership experience; group exercise instruction experience is ideal
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills; ability to deliver a variety of group exercise programs; attention to safety and inclusivity; interest in community engagement
