What this opportunity involves:
Lead the operational excellence of premium commercial assets as an Engineering Services Manager. Drive sustainable performance across building operations, energy management, and client service delivery in this hands-on leadership role.
Working closely with Property Managers and clients, you'll take ownership of building performance and engineering services operations, spanning energy sustainability, building commissioning, lifecycle asset planning, and daily property services operations.
An overview of the role:
Lead and manage site operational teams and third-party service providers- Drive NABERS Energy and Water target achievement through strategic performance management
- Manage small to mid-size site projects and coordinate all property services and maintenance works
- Ensure compliance with statutory authorities and manage certification for essential services
- Establish strong client relationships through regular updates, meetings, and formal reporting
- Deliver exceptional customer service to building tenants and attend tenant meetings
- Prepare annual operations budgets and monitor quarterly performance
- Conduct building inspections, manage specialist contractors, and oversee procurement
- Participate in sustainability forums and implement improvement projects using industry best practice
Sound like you? This is what we’re looking for:
Proven experience in building engineering services management- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Knowledge of sustainability ratings (NABERS) and building compliance requirements
- Project management experience and excellent client relationship skills
- Understanding of building maintenance, risk management, and contractor oversight
- Experience with budget preparation and financial reporting
- Availability for 24/7 emergency response as part of escalation procedures
