As the Enterprise Planning Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing the University of Melbourne's integrated planning framework. You'll lead initiatives to enhance the annual planning process, provide high-quality analysis to senior leaders, and drive planning maturity across the institution. This role offers you the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making and shape the future of a world-class university.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead Strategic Planning Initiatives: Enhance the University's annual planning process, ensuring alignment between institutional strategy, local plans, and performance monitoring.
Provide Data-Driven Analysis: Translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic advice for senior leaders to support evidence-based decision-making.
Drive Planning Maturity: Uplift planning practices across the University by embedding improved tools, frameworks, and capability-building initiatives.
Coordinate Team Operations: Ensure smooth functioning of the Enterprise Planning team through operational support and project management.

You are a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, project management experience, and the ability to influence stakeholders across a complex organisation, bringing expertise in planning and change management to drive institutional success.
You may also:
Hold a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline or have equivalent experience.
Possess demonstrated experience in strategic or business planning within a large, complex organisation.
Have advanced analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and business intelligence tools.
Excel in stakeholder engagement and communication, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
Demonstrate strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

The Enterprise Performance Group (EPG), led by Simon Stewart, is the University’s centre of excellence for business transformation. EPG drives improved operational performance by identifying and influencing opportunities, designing and delivering service improvements, and providing strategic analysis, policy support, and data-driven insights. The team also leads practices in service design, digital and data methodologies, and supports key initiatives including business continuity and the University’s digital agenda.
