About the role
We have a fixed term contract opportunity for a Senior Advisor until end of June 2026 to assist Water Corporation in supporting operations and maintaining compliance with environmental legislation and approvals. In this role you will have the opportunity to support the Water Corporation’s operations group in fulfilling environmental compliance obligations and incident response.
This role will be based in our Leederville office and will report to a Team Leader – Operations Assets Support within the Approvals, Regulation and Performance Section of the Environment Business Unit.
What the role will involve
- Provide technical advice on compliance matters, support the investigation of non-compliances and development/implementation of corrective actions
- Obtain and amend Approvals
- Provide technical advice on incident response, facilitate the investigation of incidents and report on regulatory incidents
- Conduct operational compliance audits review and analyse audit findings and report on audit findings and/or compliance performance
Key skills and experience
You will be degree qualified in environmental science or a similar discipline, along with demonstrated experience planning, managing and implementing audit and inspection programs. Your ability to build effective relationships with external stakeholders (government agencies), along with considerable knowledge of state / commonwealth legislation associated with environmental management in the water industry will ensure success in this role.
