The Role
Norwest Private Hospital is currently seeking an experienced guest services professional to join our dynamic team in a part time capacity. We are searching for an experienced team member preferably with hospital or similar experience to work across a 3 days per week (5 hours per day) from Monday to Friday in a recycling and sustainability role.
Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Sorting and separating of recycling and organic waste into appropriate waste streams
- Provide high standard of sustainable services & recyclable advice based on state and regulatory requirements
- Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy & procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
- Act in accordance with all manual handling protocols
- Assisting the production teams to ensure patient satisfaction is achieved at all times;
- Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope’s policies and processes, code of conduct and by participating in yearly performance appraisals and mandatory education. Maintain skills and standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.
- Supports Healthscope’s safety and quality improvement in all aspects of safety including Work Health & Safety
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience as cleaner or infectious cleaning specialist in a hospital environment or similar
- Have enthusiasm, drive and passion to prepare and maintain an appropriate work area to the highest standard of excellence
- Time management skills
- Good communication and customer service skills;
- Attention to detail
- Previous experience in a sustainability/recycle position (desirable)
