Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinate communications and promotion for major College events.
- Liaise with internal departments and staff to manage comms related all-of-school Events calendar.
- Support the planning and delivery of alumni engagement activities, including reunions, networking events, and recognition opportunities.
- Curate, write, and share alumni stories across Canterbury’s social media, website, and publications.
- Maintain and update the alumni database to support ongoing engagement and communication.
- Collaborate with the Content and Communications Lead to integrate event and alumni stories and profiles into broader College campaigns and publications.
- Ensure consistent and clear communication with alumni and event stakeholders.
- Assist with event logistics, communications planning, and content capture during key College events.
- Monitor and respond to alumni enquiries, maintaining strong relationships that foster lifelong connection to the College.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and event promotion.
- Strong writing and proofreading capability with attention to detail.
- Confident in working flexibly around event schedules, including occasional out-of-hours work.
- Availability and flexibility to work outside standard hours, within reason, to fulfil role responsibilities and attend relevant College events as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Current Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Communications, Event Management, or a related field (desirable).
