Baker Beekeeping Pty Ltd is a successful honey business located in Glen Innes on the NSW Northern Tablelands.
We are looking for an experienced Apiarist to join our commercial apiary. This is a permanent full-time position.
The duties will involve:
- Hive management including monitoring and maintain the health of the bees
- Queen rearing and replacement
- Harvesting and extracting honey
- Preparation of hives for pollination and coordinating with farmers for pollination services
- General hive maintenance
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following attributes:
· A minimum 2-3 years’ prior experience working as a skilled Apiarist/Beekeeper with a good knowledge of commercial beekeeping practices
· Relevant tertiary or vocational qualifications would be desirable
· Be able to work in a team.
· Be physically fit and able to life heavy weights
· A truck licence would be an advantage
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $77,000.00 per year
