Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator to support the daily operations of a secure, high-profile site in the Cessnock region. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, this role focuses on coordinating maintenance activities, supporting compliance, and enhancing service delivery in a secure government aligned client environment.
This is a full-time, permanent on-site role offering strong job security and the opportunity to work within a stable, long-term government aligned portfolio.
The ideal candidate will be
A solutions-focused, adaptable team player with excellent communication and organisational skills. You’re comfortable in secure, high-compliance settings and have strong CMMS and contractor coordination experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on-site
- Allocate and manage reactive and planned maintenance requests using CMMS
- Support WHSE compliance and assist in subcontractor onboarding and documentation
- Monitor service delivery performance and ensure KPIs are met
- Contribute to reporting, budget tracking, and continuous improvement
Education, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in facilities or property coordination roles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and time management skills
- Understanding of WHSE standards and documentation management
Desirable:
- Trade or tertiary qualification in facilities-related discipline
- Experience in secure or government environments
- First Aid Certificate and Driver’s Licence
