Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the `Courts Group'.

Court Services Victoria is delivering a new state-of-the-art court facility for Melbourne's rapidly growing west.

The Wyndham Law Courts will be the largest court complex outside of the central business district, bringing together the Magistrates' Court of Victoria, the Children's Court of Victoria and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) with specialist courts and services.

The new courts are under construction adjacent to the Werribee Police Station and will feature 13 courtrooms, four hearing rooms, three mediation suites and 26 holding cells.

About the Role

The Facilities Manager, Wyndham Law Courts (WLC), is a key member of the Court Services Victoria (CSV) Facilities Management team, based on-site at WLC. This role is responsible for overseeing a range of operational services and processes that support the ongoing physical and strategic operations of the new WLC. Core responsibilities include delivering high-level support and advice to internal and external stakeholders, coordinating procurement activities, managing property services contracts, and implementing approved projects and programs to maintain operational effectiveness.

Duties include:

  • Supporting building commissioning activities, including witness testing and training, in collaboration with the original building contractor to ensure a smooth handover and operational readiness.
  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with Essential Safety Measures (ESM) and contribute to long-term asset lifecycle planning for Wyndham Law Courts (WLC).
  • Coordinating and monitoring all maintenance and cleaning operations, ensuring high performance and minimal disruption to court services.
  • Conducting site audits to proactively identify and manage building defects, warranty issues, and potential risks.
  • Providing technical advice, manage facilities budgets, and actively contribute to leadership, emergency response, and reporting functions.

About You

  • Experience in managing both hard and soft facilities within commercial or Government environments
  • Proven experience managing defect liability period and commissioning processes
  • Demonstrated experience in adhering to procurement guidelines, as well as managing budget and forecasting to ensure financial compliance and operational efficiency
  • Demonstrated experience in service delivery, contract management and an ability to utilise maintenance management systems to respond to stakeholders' requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Essential Safety measures compliance and how it is achieved
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively to stakeholders
