About the Role:

We’re seeking a skilled and empathetic Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to join our supportive team in Tuggerah (Central Coast, NSW) on a permanent full-time basis.
In this pivotal role, you’ll guide families through separation with a child-focused approach, helping them resolve disputes around parenting and property. You’ll facilitate safe, constructive conversations and agreements that prioritise the wellbeing of children and uphold the principles of family law.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values feedback, continuous improvement, and staying aligned with current legislation and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver mediation utilising a variety of mediation models depending on the needs of clients.
- Navigate complex, high-conflict situations with sensitivity and effective strategies.
- Conduct client assessments and facilitate joint or shuttle mediations.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold client service standards.
- Apply your knowledge of family law, child safety, and trauma-informed practice.
- Contribute to team development through supervision, debriefs, and community of practice meetings.
- Accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (Attorney General’s Department).
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in family dispute resolution and child-inclusive practices.
- Deep understanding of domestic and family violence, child protection, and mental health.
- Accreditation under the National Mediation Accreditation System (NMAS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in group facilitation is highly regarded.
