Position Information
As a Farm Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in the daily operations of our school’s agricultural and outdoor learning spaces. To be successful in the role you will need to have good planning and prioritising skills and good communication skills to work effectively with others.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to
Assisting with turf and grounds management, including mowing, irrigation, weed control, and seasonal turf care across school sports fields and open space
Supporting horticultural activities such as planting, pruning, spraying
Performing general school grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks
Operating and maintaining tractors, mowers, and a range of farm and grounds equipment
Carrying out repairs, minor maintenance, and the upkeep of horticultural spaces and school infrastructure
Maintaining accurate records of machinery use, chemical applications
Working collaboratively with site team and school staff

Special Notes
This is a temporary part time appointment for a period up to 12 months and has the potential for ongoing employment in the future.
