About the role
We currently have a position available for a reliable and passionate Companion carer to join our team in Bathurst. You will need to be friendly, positive and demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You’ll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client
- Assisting clients with various gardening and yard maintenance supports
- Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship and support
- Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities
- Preparing food if needed
- Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client
- Responding to emergency situations
- Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered
Essential Criteria:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid & CPR certificates
- Current NDIS Worker Screening & Orientation
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence
- Comprehensive car insurance

Pay: From $40.93 per hour
Schedule:
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability
Supplementary Pay:
