The Field CTO role at Mimecast is a pivotal executive position that unites product strategy, customer engagement, and thought leadership to support Mimecast’s growth objectives. The FCTO serves as the most senior, field-facing technical leader, bridging the gap between customers, partners, and internal teams (specifically engineering, product, product marketing and GTM ) while championing Mimecast’s vision, supporting the strategic intent of both the customer and Mimecast, and overall representing the Voice of the Customer internally, while representing the voice of Mimecast externally. To clarify the distinctions between the Regional and Global FCTO roles, both positions are vital to Mimecast’s success in delivering thought leadership, fostering customer relationships, and driving cybersecurity strategy. However, the Global FCTO has a broader scope, greater strategic influence, and a more significant market impact.
This role provides a significantly larger platform to influence the market, representing Mimecast at the highest levels of the industry and addressing challenges that extend beyond regional boundaries.
