Olivet Residential Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable Food and Domestic Services Assistant to join our dedicated team.
About the RoleUnder the guidance of the Chef Manager, you will play a vital role in providing nutritious, high-quality meals to our residents, maintaining hygiene standards in the kitchen, and contributing to the delivery of person-centred care.
You’ll also contribute to the ongoing success of our Food Safety Program, support meal service, and ensure every resident’s dining experience is enjoyable and aligned with their preferences.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation, serving, and presentation of meals in line with the Food Safety Program (FSP)
Support kitchen cleaning, dishwashing, and record-keeping duties
Monitor food safety and hygiene standards, including temperature and cleaning logs
Participate in menu planning and receive feedback from residents to improve services
Communicate effectively and respectfully with residents, colleagues, and health professionals
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, reporting any hazards promptly
Demonstrate and promote Olivet’s core values: Compassion, Kindness, Respect, and Responsibility
Essential:
Certificate in Food Safety (with willingness to maintain annual updates)
NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one
Commitment to upholding residents' rights, dignity, and privacy
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take direction when required
Desirable:
Training in Food Safety or Hospitality
Previous experience in aged care or a similar role
Current or willingness to obtain annual influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations
