About the Role:
ACESGroup is seeking Casual Cargo Screeners to join our team at aviation freight facilities in Melbourne.
As a Freight Screening Officer, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the security of cargo moving through our facilities. Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed screening of freight using advanced security equipment and performing associated security duties such as gatehouse access control.
This role suits individuals with strong attention to detail, excellent observation skills, and the ability to perform well in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screening of air cargo using security equipment in line with regulations
- Maintain compliance with aviation security procedures and protocols
- Detect and respond to threats, prohibited items, and suspicious behaviours
- Accurately document and report security incidents or concerns
- Perform general aviation security tasks, including gatehouse duties

Skills, Experience & Requirements:
- Certificate II in Transport Security Protection – Air Cargo Examination Officer (or ability to obtain)
- Current Victorian Security Licence
- Valid ASIC or ability to obtain
- Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate (or ability to obtain)
- High attention to detail and awareness of security threats
- Ability to remain alert and focused in dynamic environments
- Strong communication skills and professional presentation
- Sound judgement and decision-making under pressure
- Competent with computer-based screening systems and reporting tools
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Must be able to pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol testing
