Are you a fit and energetic individual who enjoys hands-on work, being on the move, and transforming homes? We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Furniture Installer & Removalist / Driver to join our dynamic team.
About the Role
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in their work. You will be responsible for the safe transport, installation, and removal of furniture for home staging projects across the Greater Newcastle, Hunter and Lake Macquarie regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with our warehouse team to load and unload furniture onto our trucks.
- Transport and install furniture, artwork, and homewares in properties across the region.
- Dismantle and remove furniture once properties are sold or the staging period ends.
- Ensure all furniture and styling items are carefully handled, maintained, and stored.
- Conduct quality checks on inventory and report any damage or wear and tear.
- Assemble furniture and other décor items onsite as required.
- Safely drive one of our fleet vehicles to and from installations.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to OH&S guidelines.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a removalist, furniture installer, or similar hands-on role is highly desirable.
- Strong physical fitness and stamina to lift, carry, and maneuver furniture.
- A great work ethic, reliability, and ability to work well in a team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Professional, presentable, friendly, and customer-focused attitude.
- Attention to detail when handling furniture and styling items.
- A full, valid Australian driver’s license (MR license is a bonus but not essential).
- Ability to work flexibly, as some days may require early starts or later finishes.
