About the Role
We are seeking a Garment Technician with strong technical skills and a keen focus on product quality and fit standards to join Petal & Pup. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with industry experience looking to advance their career in a fun and supportive environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our garments meet the highest standards.
Major Responsibilities
- Attend fit sessions and create accurate records of fit comments
- Ensure fit comments for suppliers are processed efficiently and accurately
- Assist the Production Coordinator/s manage tech packs
- Bring your strong technical skills with a focus on product quality and Petal & Pup fit standards
- Complete fit comments and grade bulk specifications to QC standards within set timelines
- Assist in interpreting designer specifications and measurements for accurate garments fits
- Ensure that garments fits meet standard sizing across multiple suppliers
- Work closely with suppliers on fit adjustments, quality control and finishes
- Support the design team to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained
Additional Components
- Build and maintain a strong professional relationships with the merchandising team through regular communication, constructive feedback, initiative & suggestions
- Build and maintain a professional relationship with all suppliers
- Address fit issues with urgency & follow up claims
- Support with tech packs, making them easy & accessible to the team
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar role, with knowledge or experience in garment technology
- Strong attention to detail with an organized approach
- Time-management skills to keep up with a fast-paced environment
- Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team
- A proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently
