This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 40+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.

Join Serco’s ADF Health Services team as a Medical Officer / General Practitioner and provide high-quality medical care to Defence members at Holsworthy Health Centre. You’ll work in a modern, well-equipped facility alongside a supportive, multidisciplinary team.
About Holsworthy Health Centre
Holsworthy Health Centre is located 25 kilometres south-west of central Sydney. Located on a 20,000-hectare base, it comprises of a 41-bed inpatient ward which operates 24/7. Services provided include primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy. Holsworthy base is also home to the Defence Force Correctional Establishment where detainees are visited by RNs daily. Standard hours of operation are generally 0730-1530 Monday to Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).
Your Impact
We are seeking a Medical Officer / General Practitioner to join us in a permanent part time capacity, working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 1600 to 2000 + rotating remote on-call shifts.
As a Medical Officer, you will:
- Deliver primary medical care in line with professional standards and Defence policies
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to support Defence personnel
- Assess fitness for duty and provide pre/post-deployment medical support
- Provide medical technical advice to Defence leadership
- Work across outpatient and inpatient care settings as needed
What You’ll Need
- Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
- FRACGP, FACRRM, or Vocational Registration
- Minimum 2 years’ full time (or part time equivalent) GP experience in the last 5 years
- Australian Citizen – for Baseline Security Clearance requirements
