The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, full-time Glazier to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you will lead and coordinate subcontracted labourers on-site, ensuring the highest standards of glass installation and safety. You will work closely with our project managers and clients to deliver customised glass solutions that meet exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Determine the type and dimensions of glass required for each project
✔ Measure, mark, and cut glass using patterns, templates, and specialized tools
✔ Examine the glass for defects and mark defective areas
✔ Break off excess glass and smooth rough edges using belt sanders and smoothing wheels
✔ Lay glass over patterns on padded tables or in jigs for precision cutting
✔ Install glass panels, glass fencing, balustrades, mirrors, and skylights in accordance with specifications
✔ Perform on-site fitting and adjustment, ensuring quality and safety compliance
✔ May coat, etch, trim, or treat glass to achieve special finishes or effects
✔ Coordinate and supervise subcontracted labourers during installation works
About You
✅ Proven experience as a Glazier, ideally in glass fencing and architectural glazing
✅ Skilled in glass cutting, handling, and installation
✅ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
✅ Strong leadership and team coordination skills
✅ Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
