Key Responsibilities:
- Perform road maintenance, construction, and grading
- Operate and maintain plant, equipment, caravan, and fuel trailer, performing minor repairs and ensuring cleanliness and safety.
- Complete required documentation (log books, fuel sheets, timesheets) and suggest improvements to the Supervisor.
- Assist with emergency road maintenance as directed by the Manager Infrastructure Operations.
- Work in challenging conditions (dirt, grease, fumes, outdoor weather, confined spaces, noise, vibration) with frequent use of light/heavy tools and occasional heavy lifting.
- Frequent remote travel, working a 10/4 roster (100 hours per fortnight, Monday-Friday), subject to change based on operational needs.
- Undertake additional duties as directed by the Works Supervisor
- Work collaboratively in a team, build effective relationships, and resolve issues using strong communication skills.
- Adhere to Work Health and Safety policies, use PPE, and the code of conduct.
- 3+ years' experience as a Grader Operator
- Current C Class (Minimum) WA Driver's License
- Permitted to work - No restriction on hours
- Current National Police Clearance
- Willing to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical and Screening.
- Relevant Trade Certificates.
- Experience in Caterpillar 140 4WD or 150 6WD
