St Joseph’s Nudgee College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Groundsperson to join our Property & Services team. This full-time role plays a vital part in maintaining the high standards of our College grounds, sporting fields, and facilities.
In this role, you will:
- Maintain and prepare sports fields, lawns, gardens, and turf cricket wickets
- Assist with irrigation, turfing, line marking and general grounds care
- Operate and maintain tools, mowers, and equipment to a high standard
- Support seasonal sports preparations and day-to-day grounds upkeep
- Be part of a hardworking, close-knit team maintaining a beautiful, heritage-listed campus
About you:
- Certificate in Turf Management or Horticulture (essential)
- Experience with groundskeeping, machinery and irrigation systems
- Physically fit, reliable, and safety-conscious
- Positive attitude, team player, and proactive communicator
- Manual driver’s licence and ACDC spray licence (or willingness to obtain)
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working outdoors in a dynamic school environment. Flexibility with hours, including some overtime and weekend work, may be required during peak periods.
