Melbourne Sports Institute is seeking enthusiastic and skilled gymnastics coaches to deliver engaging Sporting Schools programs for students in Grades Prep–6 across the Brighton, Glenhuntly, and Caulfield areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain coaching experience, work with young athletes, and join a supportive and professional team.
Program Details:
Training Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Training Times: Between 9:00am – 3:00pm
Training Dates: 25th August – 17th September 2025, and term 4.
Location: Schools in Brighton, Glenhuntly, and Caulfield
Payment: Fortnightly, starting at $35 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours per session. Pay rates may increase depending on experience and qualifications.
Future Opportunities: Coaches have the chance to take on additional programs in surrounding suburbs throughout the year.
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver safe, fun, and structured gymnastics sessions to primary school students
Demonstrate skills, drills, and techniques appropriate for the age group
Encourage participation, teamwork, and confidence in all students
Ensure a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment for all participants
Requirements:
Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Extensive knowledge and understanding of gymnastics
Previous coaching experience in gymnastics is essential
Strong communication and leadership skills
Passion for inspiring young people through sport
