We are seeking experienced HC Driver/ Team Leader to join the Sands family within our Midwest region at our Geraldton depot. This is a full-time position for locally based applicants, in this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods across Geraldton and the Midwest, contributing to the success of our transport operations.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Delivery to Geraldton and regional areas
- Point of contact for the Geraldton depot
- Supervise a small team
- Trailer hook-ups
- Pre-start checks and vehicle logs
- Ensuring all practices are to OHS standards
- Constant monitoring of product temperature, and use of recordings to back up paperwork
- Completing essential paperwork relative to deliveries
- Completing Fatigue Management Logs
- Electric/Manual Pallet Jack handling and hand unloads
- Read load plan, job cards and related documents specific to work details
To be successful, you will have:
- Valid HC licence.
- Previous semi experience
- Valid WorkSafe High Risk Forklift (‘LF’) ticket preferred but not essential
- Be fully conversant with and committed to fatigue management regulations
- The ability to work effectively in a team and autonomously
- Exceptional work ethic, reliability and punctuality
- The capacity to be flexible with times to accommodate our valued customers.
Supervisor Allowance - $250 per week
On top of a competitive pay rate, you will also be paid a $250 per week supervisor allowance for your duties as the Team Leader of the depot.
