The Opportunity
The Head of Commercial Property, Construction, and Engineering Claims is a leadership position responsible for managing teams that handle commercial property, construction, and engineering claims. You will be responsible for overseeing large and complex claims, ensuring performance metrics are accurate and met, and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
As well as managing operations, you will be responsible for strategic and business planning to support innovation and change initiatives and enable QBE’s growth ambition through customer service excellence and prudent cost control in attritional and large loss claims.
Your new role
Lead teams managing commercial property, construction, and engineering claims through intermediated channels.
Oversee large and complex claims and the interactions between suppliers, brokers, and corporate customers.
Maintain and manage relationships with executive loss adjustors.
Ensure operational and financial performance metrics are accurate and consistently met.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best customer experience possible.
Continuously improve the structure and processes in commercial property, construction, and engineering claims.
About you
Strong commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of claims performance drivers, measures and financial drivers
Leadership abilities with a proven track record in managing teams and the ability to manage complex problems efficiently and effectively.
Expertise in claims management, particularly in commercial property, construction, and engineering.
Strategic thinking, with a good understanding of process innovation, modern technology and leading through change
Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
In-depth industry knowledge.
