Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the regional reserving team, ensuring top-notch actuarial analysis and reporting
- Oversee reserve calculations and compliance with regulatory standards
- Develop and implement IFRS17-compliant reserving methodologies
- Provide strategic insights into performance and trends
- Enhance reserving processes using new technologies and methodologies
- Mentor and develop actuarial talent
- Communicate model assumptions and results
The Candidate - Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Who We're Looking For: We are seeking a dynamic actuary with a Fellow designation (e.g., FIA, FSA, FIAA) and a Bachelor's in Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Studies. With over 10 years in General Insurance and 5+ years in senior reserving, you’ll bring deep industry knowledge, IFRS17 expertise, and proficiency in actuarial software. Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills are essential. Join us to lead, innovate, and make an impact!
Essential:
- Fellow of a recognized actuarial institute (e.g., FIA, FSA, FIAA)
- Bachelor´s degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Actuarial studies
- Minimum of 10 years of General Insurance actuarial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior reserving role
- Local industry knowledge of reporting requirements and reserving practices
- Extensive experience with IFRS17 implementation and compliance
- Familiarity with multiple reporting bases (mainly Asia Pacific and US) preferable
- Strong understanding of reserving methodologies and actuarial principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in actuarial software and tools
