Position Information
Auburn Girls High School is a partially academically selective and comprehensive high school with an enrolment of 850 girls, 98% of whom have a language background other than English. The school has increasingly achieved outstanding HSC and NAPLAN results. This is due to a strong commitment to building collective teacher efficacy and utilising evidence-based practices to target areas, including literacy, numeracy, and HPGE. Auburn Girls High School has developed a strengths-based Positive Education wellbeing platform where every student is known, valued, and cared for within a culture of high expectations and academic rigour.

Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated ability to be a dynamic member of the executive team and lead evidence-based initiatives to support school targets, including explicit teaching, literacy instruction and High Potential and Gifted Education.
- A highly visible and approachable leader who demonstrates exemplary interpersonal skills with the ability to establish, build and sustain positive and productive relationships within an English faculty, across the school and in the wider community.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the development, implementation and review of rigorous, evidence-informed faculty systems, particularly in programming, assessment, feedback and reporting that drive student achievement.
