Head Teacher Wefare – Glen Innes High School
Glen Innes High School is seeking a dynamic and committed Head Teacher Welfare to lead whole-school approaches to student engagement, attendance, trauma-informed practice, and positive behaviour support.
Located in the Northern Tablelands of NSW, Glen Innes High School is a comprehensive, co-educational school with approximately 460 students, including 19% who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The school is known for its inclusive culture, strong community connections, and focus on student voice and wellbeing.
The successful applicant will lead a dedicated Wellbeing Team comprising a Wellbeing Nurse, School Counsellor, School Support Officer, Year Advisors, and an active Learning and Support Team. They will play a key role in delivering strategic priorities related to student wellbeing, while strengthening a culture where every student is known, valued, and cared for.

Selection Criteria
1. Demonstrated capacity to lead a large Wellbeing team that initiate and deliver a variety of wellbeing programs to improve wellbeing outcomes for students.
2. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build authentic connections with parents, community and external agencies to develop a positive, inclusive learning community.
3. Proven capacity to plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate whole school wellbeing programs, including analysis of data, to inform Strategic Excellence Plan initiatives.
4. Demonstrated capacity to develop and implement programs that support, promote, and enhance a high standard of educational attainment, engagement, attendance and wellbeing for a diverse range of students.
