About the role
If Health and Safety is important to you, this is a great development opportunity to support our Work Health & Safety strategy and our team located in Homebush West

In this role, you will work with the business towards a health and safety vision of continually striving to learn, improve and positively influence the physical and psychological health and safety of our people and communities that we serve around the world.

You will also:

  • Play a key role in the administration and further implementation of our Health and Safety Software platform
  • Administer the incident and hazard management function
  • Support operational activities including Health & Safety committee meeting preparation, compilation of papers, presentations and ad-hoc administrative duties
  • Collate and compile both scheduled and ad-hoc Health and Safety reporting
  • Update and maintain the Health & Safety policies, procedures, resources and tools as required
  • Support communication of the Health & Safety Management System across the organisation including maintaining the Health and Safety intranet page
  • Engage with the global Health & Safety team
  • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours

About you
This role is suitable for someone early in their Health and Safety career or with an interest in the field and willing to undertake studies to learn the principles of Health and Safety risk management

Having worked in an administrative role for a minimum of 2 years, you will be ready to take the next step in your career and be happy to jump in and support your team with a wide range of administration and team tasks.

You will have:

  • A team-first attitude - you love making others’ jobs easier and smoother
  • Natural organisational skills – with a love for follow-through and prioritisation
  • Effective communication skills - in all forms across stakeholder groups
  • Tech confidence - comfortable using internal systems, shared inboxes and online forms
  • Studying towards, or a qualification in, Health and Safety or related disciplines such as a health or behavioural science, or the equivalent level of knowledge gained from a combination of experience, training, professional accreditation, and qualifications is desirable but not essential
