- Competitive Salary starting from $129,659 + 14.75% Super (9-day fortnight)

The opportunity:
In this role you’ll:
- Keep projects on track by working closely with your leader and team.
- Communicate clearly, solve problems together, and make sure everyone’s on the same page.
- Build strong connections across Powerlink so we can deliver great results for our customers.
- Carry out HV switching and secondary systems work to keep the network moving.
- Be part of the on-call team so any system hiccups are fixed fast.
- Help improve how we work by preparing reports and work procedures.
- Plan jobs, manage resources, and work with schedulers to spot issues before they become problems.
- Make sure our work protects the environment and meets all requirements.
Every day will be a mix of problem-solving, teamwork, and keeping Queensland’s power supply secure.

Reporting to the Secondary Systems Team Leader within the Field Delivery Group, you will join a talented crew who keep protection, metering, communications, and control systems running at their best. We work safely, deliver quality, and embrace new tech—bringing fresh ideas and teamwork to every job.
What you'll bring:
Essential
- Electrical Fitter Mechanic License to work in Queensland
- Advanced Diploma/Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- “C” Class driver’s License
You are skilled in using automated and microprocessor-controlled test instruments for Protection and Metering systems, fault-finding complex electrical circuitry, and performing HV switching and secondary system tasks. Additionally, you have a strong knowledge of relevant industry Acts, Standards, and codes, and demonstrate adaptability to evolving technologies and job requirements.
